Belper Art Group |
We are a friendly, informal group who meet to enjoy, share and develop our interests in all things artistic. We welcome people of all ages and abilities to our regular meetings on Thursday evenings at The Fleet Arts Centre between seven and nine.
Each week we have something organised that should be of interest to you. Everything from a demonstration by someone we respect to a still life provided by one of our members, from using a potters wheel to drawing the lady who is trying to teaches us how to pot. Always with a friendly face or two to help if you are stuck, a cup of coffee and a chance to discuss where it went wrong.
If you don't want to do the same as everybody else well just find a space and do what you want, we all do. As hinted above when we had a night at the potters wheel some of us just drew and painted. So why not come along next week and show me how to paint trees with watercolours an art I still haven't learnt, although I must say some of our members are past masters at it!
Oops! I forgot I must not make jokes about age or being past it. We have members from thirteen to old enough to know better and we all join in.
For further information or to just put a voice to a name please feel free to ring:

PS If you cannot make a Thursday but still want to learn to paint try Derbyshire Arts, they run courses for people at all skill levels.
