Derbyshire Fire-Brigade Belper shows Slava how to put a fire
out. Fire fighting in the small villages would consist a few buckets filled
with water from a stream or snow, ice or earth. Some of the children have
fathers who work in the fire service and they don't always get paid.

Lunch at Wychnor Lodge for the children. Without the help of
many individuals, companies and organisations we would not be able to give the
children such a great holiday, thank you to you all.

Marina plays on the swing. Many of the children only ever see
manufactured swings when they go to the larger towns and they will certainly
never have seen the sophisticated outdoor toys that exist in many of our parks.

Belarus is land locked so they have never seen any open
exspanse of water bigger than a lake. Anyway much of the water has to treated
with care as it may be contaminated with radiation.

I know xxxx and xxxx in the centre of this picture, they
arrived back from this trip to Skegness very tired but so happy. We live a few
miles from Darley Abbey where I collected them and within a few moments they
were both asleep, just like any child that has had a good time and been
running on empty.
